Thrive: A Refugee Support Program is run primarily by volunteers. We are currently looking for volunteers who are interested in:
*Helping with the Sunday English class from 11:00 to 12:30. We need substitute teachers and assistants to play with the kids while the parents are in class!
*Assisting with transportation - currently looking for volunteers to transport people to and from the Sunday English class. The class is in Wyoming and most of the families live in Kentwood. This is currently our biggest need!
*Assisting with grant writing/ funding development
*Partnering with refugee families as "cultural brokers" - we have several families with special needs right now. This is currently our biggest need!
*Staff a craft table and booth at a local event or help us with an already planned booth
*Other opportunities may be available depending on interest.
